Resident Evil has turned into a huge hit and series among gamers. The first RE was what started it all, it was a great game, but the newer RE's have outdone the original in my opinion. Resident Evil: Code Veronica is a great addition to the RE series. Code Veronica takes place on an island prison and in the Antarctic. You control Claire Redfield, of the second Resident Evil. She is looking for her lost brother, Chris Redfield, just as she was in RE2. After Claire, Leon and Sherry escaped the horror that was Raccoon City, Claire decided to go on to the Umbrella Headquarters in Paris. In theory, Leon kept Sherry and looked after her while Claire was away. I'm sure we will find out more about Leon and Sherry in the next chapter of the Resident Evil Series.
Code Veronica features a new method of game-play than the other RE's. You control Claire for the first disc of CV, and when you start the second disc, you're still Claire. In the middle of the second disc, you switch to Chris, then back to Claire, then back to Chris again to finish the game. This new "zapping" system is to the likeness of the one featured in RE2. The only difference is that Claire and Leon each had they're own disc, and each had to go through the same scenarios in RE2. Claire is the main character in CV, considering the fact that you play a majority of the game with her. Chris is merely a sub-character used to help Claire through it. The only thing that is hard to get the hang of in this new addition to the RE world, is when you switch characters. If you haven't played through RE:CV then you will get confused and learn how to works things the hard way. What I mean is this; when you switch from Claire to Chris, Chris only has the weapons you left in the storage with Claire and the weapons he has on him. If you carry ALL the weapons on one character, then when you switch, you have none for the other. Same with herbs, if you give all the herbs to one character, none will be there for the other. It takes awhile to get used to, but once you have the switch points down, it's fairly easy.
Here are the switch points:
The first character switch is in Antarctica. You play through the base the first time with Claire, you get out of the crashed plane and search for a way out. When you go to turn the gas off in the room with the drilling machine, you should save right before that because you're about to fight Nosferatu and switch characters. All you need is your double guns you got on the island and some herbs. When you go into the room to turn off the gas, Alfred will meet you there and after the events with him, go over to where he was and get the sniper rifle! It's important you do because you'll need it to beat Nosferatu. After beating him, you'll switch to Chris on the island prison, or what's left of it anyway.

The second switch point is when you find Claire in Antarctica. If you were poisoned when you fought Nosferatu, and most likely you were, then you'll have to get the serum with Chris. After that, a huge tentacle will come and you and Claire will be separated. Then Alexia will show up and you will gain control of Claire so go find Steve. This is tricky part. The only thing you need to bring with you to find Steve, is your handgun and bow-gun. DO NOT bring any other weapons, AT ALL. This is very important and where most people mess up. Bring at LEAST two FULL healing items. Trust me, you'll need them.

**~**SPOILER**~**

When you meet Steve, he will mutate and try to kill you. Just RUN! Do NOT try to kill him, you can't. Run and when he hits you heal immediately. Two hits and you're dead. He only hits you twice so you only need two FULL healing items. After that, you'll be locked in a room with Steve.

The third switch is right after the Steve meeting with Claire. You switch back to Chris to finish the game.

Good luck, and happy zombie hunting!
